Gearlene Igleheart, 77, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Woodbridge Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family and the staff. She was born August 16, 1937, in Evansville, IN, to the late Norman and Madeline (LeMon) Plump.

Gearlene was a 1955 graduate of Reitz High School and was instrumental in planning the reunions for over 49 years. She attended Evansville College. She had been employed at the Bell Telephone Company.

Gearlene Igleheart, 77, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Woodbridge Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family and the staff. She was born August 16, 1937, in Evansville, IN, to the late Norman and Madeline (LeMon) Plump.

Gearlene was a 1955 graduate of Reitz High School and was instrumental in planning the reunions for over 49 years. She attended Evansville College. She had been employed at the Bell Telephone Company.

She was past President of Helfrich Park PTA and a member and past President of the PTA Association. Gearlene volunteered for the Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and was a neighborhood coordinator. She was a caregiver for both her parents and her aunt, Helen. She always put everyone first. Gearlene was a Reitz High School fanatic and an avid Cardinals fan. She loved dancing with Billy, being on the river, traveling, and playing slot machines.

Gearlene is survived by her husband of 58 years, Billy of Evansville; daughter, Kris Mindrup (Mark); son, Bob Igleheart (Michelle); grandchildren, Kayla Gengelbach (Kyle), Kasey Igleheart (Ashley), Madison Igleheart, and Paul Mindrup; brother, Wayne Plump (Ginny); and sister, Norma Jean Thomas.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Lynn Marino, with a private burial in Tupman Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
