Kathryn "Kitty" Louise (Strouse) Wilhite, 87, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was born August 21, 1929 in Pride, KY, to the late William and Evelyn Strouse.

She was a graduate of Bosse High School and worked for Bell Telephone early in life. After several years of being home to raise her three sons, she returned to the workforce, working as a teller at Lamasco Bank, from where she later retired. Kathryn "Kitty" Louise (Strouse) Wilhite, 87, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was born August 21, 1929 in Pride, KY, to the late William and Evelyn Strouse.

She was a graduate of Bosse High School and worked for Bell Telephone early in life. After several years of being home to raise her three sons, she returned to the workforce, working as a teller at Lamasco Bank, from where she later retired. Kitty served as past president of the PTA and was active in local republican politics. She was an avid golfer and won several ladies tournaments over the years. She also recorded a hole-in-one. She was a strong supporter of her church, Salem UMC. She was also a strong supporter of USI, especially the varsity club and men's basketball team.

Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Wilhite; sister, Mary Brand; sister-in-law, Rita Strouse; and dear friend, Loren Hurley.

She is survived by her three sons, John (Connie) Haller of Evansville, Mark Haller of AZ and Brad (Patti) Haller of West Chester, OH; step-daughters, Katia Wilder of Oroville, CA and Suzy (Randy) O'Donnel of Nashville, IN; daughter-in-law, Patty Haller of Evansville; brother, William Strouse of Henderson, KY; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to say a special "thanks" to caregivers, Rita Metcalf, Linda Burdge and Sharon Clardy.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jeff Kincade, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
