Martha June Brock (June as everyone that knew her) was born June 21, 1922. June and her sister, Jayne Owens were twins. Jayne Owens, age 95, is a current resident of Evansville. June was married 68 years to Olin Vincent Brock. Olin passed January 30, 2010. Today, January 5, 2018, June joined Olin.

It was a USO dance June and Jayne attended, without dates, June met Olin. These local men had volunteered to fight overseas. It was understood that many of these men would die. These men in uniform were heroes, especially to the young women. June and Jayne had gone to the ladies room. When they came out, they saw two striking young men. Jayne said to June "I'll take the tall one, you take the short one." The short one was Olin. Soon after June married Olin. June would not see Olin again for four years due to the war. The marriage lasted another 64 years.

She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1114.
