Myra Kathleen "Kate" Mossberger, 68, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice Center. She was born May 6, 1948, in Evansville, Indiana.

After graduating from Reitz high School in 1966, Kate worked at Telesis Corporation for two years. She stayed home to raise her three daughters before returning to work at Patsi's Hair Salon and then Roger's Hair Design. While at Roger's, Kate modeled for their clothing boutique. She was also featured in television commercials produced by Keller Crescent. Kate then worked at Kent Plastics, L....

Myra Kathleen "Kate" Mossberger, 68, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice Center. She was born May 6, 1948, in Evansville, Indiana.

After graduating from Reitz high School in 1966, Kate worked at Telesis Corporation for two years. She stayed home to raise her three daughters before returning to work at Patsi's Hair Salon and then Roger's Hair Design. While at Roger's, Kate modeled for their clothing boutique. She was also featured in television commercials produced by Keller Crescent. Kate then worked at Kent Plastics, L. Berman, and Gold's Gym. She retired from General Electric in
Mt. Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene "Dan" and Marguerite Smith, sisters, Betty "Sissy" Merritt and Rita Flener, brothers, Sam, Charlie "Shotgun" and Bob.

Kate is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenny Mossberger; daughters, Kristie Alexander (Andrew), Kellie Adler (Lance) and Kendra French (Chris Waelde); grandchildren, Drew, Nate and Catherine Alexander, Grady, Olivia and Claire Adler and Emily and Katie French; sister, Fran Cook; brother-in-law, Terry Mossberger (Anne); sister-in-law, Nancy Mossberger Cardona (Chuck); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends visited Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.
