Stan Newingham left this life on September 9, 2017 to reunite with friends and family that traveled to Heaven before him. He was a man of integrity in every way and loved his family fiercely.

Stan was born on March 27, 1951 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He endeared himself to his older sisters, Brenda and Pat, despite his resourcefulness in finding ways to pick on them. The "baby brother" always took wonderful care of his mother, Jenny, and his sisters.

In 1974, he married Dana Tucker and they began a life in Evansville together. They have two daughters, Brandy and Jennifer, and the family could not have felt more loved by him. Over the years his career path led him through the oil, environmental, and construction industries. He worked hard to provide for his family while always prioritizing family time.

The family later grew with the addition of Brandy's husband, Corey Wilkinson, and four grandchildren. He was a great father-in-law and a loving Grandpa. He was so proud of his entire family and loved spending time teasing them, cooking for them, laughing with them, and rolling his eyes at their goofiness. His endless supply of sarcastic comebacks, quirks, and witty one-liners will continue to bring smiles to our faces.

Stan loved the beach and had a true appreciation and respect for nature. Despite this, he still willingly took his family to Disney World, where they made many happy, silly, and unforgettable memories. He was a member of Zion Lippe Church, West Side Sportsman's Club, and Reitz R-Men.

He has now rejoined his mother, Jenny Whitaker, and his sister, Pat Owens. Here on Earth, his family will continue to love and support each other through this life: his wife, Dana Newingham; his daughters Brandy Wilkinson and Jennifer Newingham; his son-in-law Corey Wilkinson; his grandchildren Carly, Sophie, Reece, and Nash Wilkinson; his sister Brenda Grubbs and her husband Norm Grubbs; his aunt Dovie Duckworth; and cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Salvation Army, CASA, or Zion Lippe Church. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderWestChapel.com.
